Thanks for coming out if you made it… I left at 3:30 after the awards ceremony. I had a 4 1/2 hour drive home and had been up early. They are planning on making this an annual event, so hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to see you next year in Stanley!

Well,we finished 7th Overall and we got a call with 5th in Ribs. The judges were not as impressed with my chicken as I was. This one was tough because I was all by myself, but still knew a bunch of the teams. Seven of the teams here we at the World Invitational! Thanks for all your support!

Ha! Ha! Unfortunately, that’s not quite true… They are sending a few heavy hitters down to compete! No worries… I can hold my own!

For you; I’ll figure out a way to get to the West Coast to compete… or meet you in the middle somewhere!! That way you can join me on the podium for a picture together!

Yes and No. You are welcome to come and watch us compete, but we cannot sell anything. (But I can give away samples to family and friends after my turn-ins and I can definitely set you up.) The public is welcome to come out and watch at the park but the Independence Day festival does not start...

We had a 9th place finish in ribs on that Friday, but the rest of the weekend didn’t go so well. Fortunately, we bounced back and did great in Morris IL. Next stop Stanley Wisconsin on July 6. If you get a chance, Bruce stop up and see me!

Best Dish! 🤣 I’m still working on one in the Ribs and Chicken category! 😀 We were presented with brats and beers from a local store and brewery. I took them out of the casing and made a brat patty with a beer cheese sauce served on a pretzel bun.

We finally made it to the KCBS 180 Club! We are proud to have been acknowledged at the same time as our friends Paulo with Justice BBQ out of Costa Rica and Schmidty with Loot’N Booty BBQ out of Arizonal!

Thanks Tony! We are running the same Rib recipe and time lines since it has proven well for us. This is our 3rd adjustment on Chicken and I think we’re going to see it out.
