    3D Printed Barrel Servo/Fan

I will get them up for you ASAP. If you decide to print and use it, I would seal the perimeter of the RJ45 jack with a bead of glue since that is the main point of possible air leak with this version. The offset has the advantage that the air path is continuous without any plastic on plastic joints.

    3D Printed Barrel Servo/Fan

Ben, thanks for the kind words. I printed 2 of these for myself about a year and a half ago and haven't had to really use much else. I experimented with a completely hidden fan version for a while but pretty much use the offset all the time. I've never been one to use an HM during high temp...

SMD Heatermeter on a RPI B+? Yes, it can be done......

Very nice. I'm really digging the 4 button design.

    HM 4.2.4 3D Printed Case

My HMs are put in a case and stay in that case without ever needing to open them. By having a case that screws together, top to bottom, you can support the HM in ways that your "sliding back" case could never do. I can't think of any reasons why I would need to open my HM so I believe that...

To all 3d printers on the forum

As you all are well aware, the HM project has evolved over the last few years to a point where 3D printing has become an integral part of the community. When this first started the demand wasn't very high and Matt and I were able to handle most requests. As you might have heard, due to time...

    3D Printed Barrel Servo/Fan

I wonder if something has changed since I first designed this thing? I've only printed my 2 originals that I have fully assembled, but that was about a year and a half ago, I think. I didn't pull schematics for the propellers and measured everything with calipers. I printed the parts for a...

    HM 4.2.4 3D Printed Case

Or the nuts could spin every time resulting in useless prints. If the nuts couldn't be tapped in with a hammer then your printer should recalibrate his machine or reconsider using it as a retail service.

    HM 4.2.4 3D Printed Case

Custom machine that I designed. I print in ABS and PLA, mostly PLA now because I like it better. Settings in 3d printing are sort of machine specific. In general, I use 0.3 mm layer heights and speeds around 100 mm/s.

    HM 4.2.4 3D Printed Case

Hey everyone, sorry I have been unresponsive. I am currently living between 2 places that are 200 miles apart and have largely been out of contact. Things will be back to normal in a few weeks.... The nut traps are designed to be tight, very tight. The last thing you want is for the nuts to...

    3D Printed Barrel Servo/Fan

Chris, you can easily adjust the 3d file to accommodate any size pipe you'd like. Just right click the hole and change the diameter accordingly then save as an STL file. If you are having trouble, PM me your email address and I can help you. Tom

SMD Heatermeter on a RPI B+? Yes, it can be done......

I'm working on one now for John's board and will post when finished. I can make one for yours once you finalize a design.

    HM 4.2.4 3D Printed Case

Dave, I must have missed your PM or not clicked the send button. My printer is offline for the time being while I am in the process of moving and starting my new job. I encourage you to try out the 3dhubs link mentioned above or any of the other similar services on the internet that bring local...

    Heatermeter and BGE mini

Nick, start with the PID parameters that I listed in the thread. With the mini you can probably just change the limits on the fan if you want to continue with servo and fan mode, or just use servo only mode. You'll have to tweak the PID values for servo only though because I don't operate in...

    3D Printed Barrel Servo/Fan

I don't have a template but I think this description should suffice. Mount The mount can be fabricated in the following manner: Supplies: aluminum sheet (I forget the exact gauge but is should be fairly bendable to conform to the curvature of the smoker), 1" square aluminum tubing (barrel...

    3D Printed Barrel Servo/Fan

I've only had that problem with the less powerful sg90 servos. There are 2 things that I would try before giving up on the servo. 1. make sure that the servo propeller is seated all the way into the barrel so that the barrel is not being pressed against the side of the housing. 2. take a...
