    Lamb shoulder blade chop

We eat lamb regularly in Australia - we cook it so many different ways. One of the best is grilled natural - Just seasoned with a little S&P Fire up the grill to the same heat you would grill a steak - for a 3/4" lamb chop grill (lid down) for 2 1/2 - 3 minutes per side. Enjoy. If you want a...

    Making coffee?

It's a BBQ not a stove or a coffee machine I take a Q120 and a portable gas stove with me in my Winnebago, (I also have a Go-anywhere in it as well)

Q120 what do you experts think of this little grill vs the Q220

I might be a little late. I have the 120 and the 220. The 120 will do a medium rare steak with the right amount of searing easier than the 220. this has been a long topic of conversation on the Aussie BBQ Forum. Some members wanted a rare steak but were not able to achieve it with the 220. - Not...

how to low and slow on Q 300???

Hey George. Just dropped by and saw the posts. Low and slow in a 300 is easy. Noe is on the right track - I don't use a roasting pan because it changes the airflow pattern around the meat. Preheat the 300 for 5 minutes only to burn off any nasties first. Set the 300 up for indirect cooking...

    "Little Griddle"

Tom Get a teflon grill sheet. It doesn't take any time to heat or cool, washes with warm soapy water, lightweight, folds to very small and is inexpensive. Much better that a griddle. I have 2 that I have been using for over 5 years. Cheers

    "Little Griddle"

Instead of using a griddle (hotplate) why don't you cook on a fry pan in the kitchen. That's all it is after all. there are many other ways to BBQ and produce that special BBQ flavour than using a griddle. Cheers

    q use

Middle of winter, middle of summer and everywhere in between. I bought a Q120 to use when travelling with my Winnebago and I leave the Q220 at home. I have cooked for 10 with the Q120 - pork strips, butterflied legs of lamb and sausages when each was cooked I wrapped them in foil and stored them...

    Direct vs. Indirect

This is a photo of a 3 Kg (6.6 Lb) turkey on the Q120. Indirect is achieved by placing a barrier between the food and the meat in this case a doubled over sheet of foil. You must raise the meat off the barrier to allow air circulation, this enables a convection style cooking. I use a Weber...

    Q300/320

Tom The Q300 series BBQs are absolutely fantastic to cook on, You can cook just about anything on them including bread, cakes, deserts. Smoking on them is a little more difficult bat can be done. Get a small metal tray and punch a few holes in it and put a wire rack of some description in it...

    Electronic vs piezo

Russell If you have a problem use a match. The electronic (battery operated) is by far the best as is the Q120 over the Q100. The side tables are invaluable when cooking when you need to rest something. Cheers

    Q300 vs Spirit

Harry My vote is for the Q300 by a country mile. I demonstrate BBQs for Weber in Australia, The Q 300 is 2 minutes to clean, quick to heat, elegant great temp control, uses less gas, grill bars are closer together giving great searing for chicken. The downside is it does not have a side burner...

    Cannister vs 20lb tank

This appears to be another case of someone thinking that the time specified was too short so they stated their own interpretation of the time required. Guy is correct - allow 15 to 20 seconds and you can't go wrong (you actually only need 10 seconds max) If it does not reset after 20 seconds...

    Weber cover with Q

Hi Susie Q I have the little cover for mine, I don't generally get a build-up of moisture on mine. I leave the cover off mine regularly but it is under cover on my decking. The cover is predominately to keep the dust and light rain off. The Q can be left in the weather. Don't forget that there...

    Flavorizer bars

Bill I have had my Genesis E320 for over 2 years I don't clean the Flavourizer bars. The gunk burns off. I give them a brush when I give the BBQ a Bi-annual strip down and clean. Cheers
