Just in time for a digikey order :) I'm really glad you also have the same exact grills as me... doing all the R&D :)

Brand New Damper Design - "The Micro Damper"

Exactly my plan. I just chopped up the 55gal laying around to make a windscreen for the turkey fryer.. I will probably go 30gal for this particular one. I don't necessarily need a massive tandoor...

Brand New Damper Design - "The Micro Damper"

Good to be home. Although being in India again reminded me how much I need to build a tandoor :) PS threads are good. Thanks again for this! I probably won't use the plug you use, I'll bootleg a cat5 jack, as I have them lying around and I don't really care how it looks :)

Brand New Damper Design - "The Micro Damper"

Hey Steve, Finally back in the USA and printed out the new one you put. I will go to home depot later to grab a 1" fitting (have to convert my UDS to it anyways) and see how well it mates up. excuse the little "string" across the one thread. damn PETG. still getting my bearings on this...

    Sous Vide Setup

Sweet. I have a separate controller I use for sous vide (my old BBQ one no less) but this is interesting.. :) only thing I love about it is that it's set and forget.. trigger the PID auto learn and walk away. my old one...

Brand New Damper Design - "The Micro Damper"

The fan - just found one laying around to see how it fit, not going to use that one. Same on the servo.. I have both mg90s and sg90s around, again, just seeing how it fits, grabbed the wrong one. Thanks for that though :) Good eye

Brand New Damper Design - "The Micro Damper"

Partly some of the flash reflection. Here's a daylight shot to get a better idea. I don't have a real weber so I don't know :( PETG can have a nice glossy finish to it, really depends on print speed, from what I have gathered. I haven't played around enough with it yet (happy just to be back...

Brand New Damper Design - "The Micro Damper"

Thanks again Steve, I know we traded lots of emails. Finally done dicking around with the printer and now back to making stuff. First go at PETG with these parts. PETG is a SOB with the stringing and overhangs, will see how those fine threads did when I go try to connect to 1" NPT. Fit is...

    3D Printed Barrel Servo/Fan

Lowes/Home Depot sometimes has M3 screws, the black ones. I have a random collection from building my Prusa.. I believe I hit up ebay. There are plenty with quick shipping and good pricing. It may be a lifetime's supply but hey they'll work :)

    Sending alerts with Pushbullet

I finally used pushbullet last night -- set up HM to use it, and set a ridiculously annoying notification on my phone for PushBullet so that it would wake me up. Did the trick :) Thanks all for this.

    3D Printed Barrel Servo/Fan

Believe I remember Tom saying he built something on his own - it is in the general 3d printing thread (long read but great)

    INTRODUCING: the "Roto Damper"

Looks great. I (very) briefly played with PET+ but went back to ABS. Little bit of a different animal, not sure my current hot end is up to the task

Thanks for the tip on the canned air :) I print on borosillicate + Kapton... tiny bit of juice... had to get out the jackhammer once

Hey Steve, You sharing the STLs for this by any chance?

    General 3D Printing Thread

You have no idea how useful! OpenSCAD is intuitive for me, because it seems to just be math and yet another programming/scripting language, whatever you want to call it. When you have a working example to reference, it really speeds up understanding of a new language. Basic shapes were quick...

    General 3D Printing Thread

Bryan, Wanted to thank you. Just used your SCAD files from your Servo Z Endstop to use for my own autoleveling adventure. Made my life easy :)

    General 3D Printing Thread

I've been doing ABS at 110 bed / 230 extruder with great results (for me). I'm sure as I print more, I'll begin to get pickier like you guys and notice the subtle tuning aspects of printing. Really looking forward to it. Actually having a problem with ABS sticking too well. ABS slurry works...
