Well that would explain it. I was testing my ability to post pictures from my computer here at my place of business but the IT department seems to have "locked me out" of photobucket.

I know this is late but 560 degrees should give you a fine sear. Do you pat your steaks dry before throwing on the grill? The reason I ask is because they will not sear well if they have surface moisture.
Either way is fine but just to add another opinion to the mix, a while back I watched this video and gave the method a try. Low and slow fire with an open lid. I was very happy with the results of my chicken. The video is long but check it out.
So Rob the last time I looked into those Weber was only selling them overseas. Did you order it from someone outside the US or did Weber finally offer them to us here in the states?

While in Monterey did you get a chance to drive 17-mile drive? Its beautiful as it winds the Pacific ocean. Also takes you to the Pebble Beach golf course. An awesome place to visit.
