    Q lid repaint

Thanks Bruce. I need to order from the UK and have found these paints in lots of colours https://www.forstoveglass.co.uk/stoveglass/Stove_Bright_High_Temperature_Stove_Paint.html And they go up to 1200f so should be ok. I have ordered a paint chart to really see what the colours are like

    Q lid repaint

The lids do need painting, the coating has come off in quite a lot of places. I am going to keep the Q220 and paint it this colour!!! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VHT-SP756-HOT-PINK-ENGINE-ENAMEL-PAINT/382471636995 The Q200 I am gifting to a work colleague and I think he wants green :( This is...

New to me 22 inch kettle

Thank you, I will take a look at that site 😁 I already thought that the handles could be changed and as it happens I am pretty nifty with wood so once I take the old ones off I will make some new ones myself. This is my first bandsaw box I made! 9AD654B6-C6BF-422E-BC64-DD62EA56479D by Liz...

New to me 22 inch kettle

A green kettle was advertised for free on one of the local facebook pages and seeing that it is winter it not a very popular item! Thinking ahead to the summer and that I might like to try cooking pizzas I went and collected it. It’s rather dirty, has a small dent on the lid and one of the...

    Q lid repaint

I have a Q200 lid and Q220 lid to be repainted. I have sprayed a Q100 before but I cannot remember if I put primer on first? What do you guys recommend? Do you use 2 cans of paint to cover one lid?

    Q200 butane to propane

Thank you George I used the Q last night with the dial at half way and it was much better. I still prefer the butane! I contacted Weber in the Uk and the assistant suggested changing the regulator over to the official Weber regulator. The regulator I have is the one they give free with the gas...

    Q200 butane to propane

I used a butane regulator with the butane and then changed the butane regulator over for the propane one. It worked really well with the butane! The Weber sticker under the shelf states that it can use butane or propane.

    Q200 butane to propane

Hmm further to the above, it seems that the gas will go off on the front part of the burner? I just noticed as I have opened the lid that the front part was out and the flames then moved around to the front but the back and side was still had a flame.

    Q200 butane to propane

Hi I have a UK issue Q200 that I have always used with a 13kilo butane tank. Now the local gas suppliers have decided that we all now need to use propane! So a new free regulator and a 13 kilo of propane is attached… The only think is, it doesn’t seem to be as hot as the butane? With butane I...

    New to me Q220?

I have taken the lid off to give it a clean and it has what must be the model number embossed on the lid as well as what looks like two suns. One sun has 06 and the other has 07 in it. Which might be the manufacturing date? To me that would be June 07 but I guess it is more likely July 06 with...

    New to me Q220?

The previous owner has removed all stickers! But looking at the very tired looking hose it’s from 2007 at the earliest!

    New to me Q220?

They certainly made these little Q’s to last didn’t they? Once it has been cleaned up I might try a chicken on it… I need to get a new hose and a bottle of propane gas as mine that I am using at the moment uses butane!

    New to me Q220?

On the local Facebook free cycle page was a well used Weber Q with a cart. I went and collected it last weekend and I think it is a Q220 from 2007 (the date stamp on the hose) as it has no labels or stickers on it. Whilst trying to get the grubby Q and cart in the car, I realised that its not a...

Q100 and Q200 received for free

Lol, yes! The spray paint for the lid said to bake it at 200 degrees for a certain amount of time. I didn't want to bake it in my oven not that it would fit so I got an old charcoal BBQ from the recycling yard and baked the BBQ :) it worked a treat.

Q100 and Q200 received for free

I picked up a Q100 with cart from the local recycling yard for nothing about 4 years ago. The inside was in really good condition but the paint on the lid was flaking off in places. I used this for a couple of years. Last year I picked up a Q200 from the same recycling yard with a cart and it...
