After startup once the temp starts climbing, I close the vent down so it's open just a hair. The keg has a cast iron wheel on top with 6 openings, so a hair opening x6. Once they stabilize I open it a little more so it's not a stale smoke chamber.

Dale, what are you putting the Brinkmann pan on? I'll see if I can try your settings and sorted lump tonight, but my thick pizza stone diffuser may be slowing my response even more. If my next trials don't work, I may need to try a thinner steel pan diffuser instead.

I have a Keg as well, I'm not far from you in Breslau. You'll want a damper for the keg, not just a blower, I have RalphTrimble's rotodamper and HM case. I ordered my rPi and servo off amazon.ca

What dongles have you tried? I had the same problem with the niceEshop dongle with the 6" antenna. Couldn't detect any wifi broadcasts. I had to buy an Edimax to get it to work.

Did you purchase a wifi dongle and put it in one of the USB ports?

Does this mean the servo goes from 0 to 100 controlled by the PID, and then when the servo is at 100, the fan then turns on low.. and then faster... and faster if the temperature hasn't recovered yet? I've been meaning to see if that was suggested yet. Servo 0-100, and then fan 0-100.. and...
