If you order 4 thermocouple boards you must be building 4 HM, as one board is one heatmeter. You have the choice of either 4 regular probes or 3 regular and one thermalcouple. You can't run 4 boards with one heatmeter setup.

I fill my chimney, and light a starter cube when ready just dump coals on charcoal in WSM. Yes to using airburner and RD3........14 hrs burn time so far.

More than likely it's the rain/mist, any electronic devise will be sensitive to moisture.

Wish I'd kept one of the buoy batteries we use to use, they would power a car radio for 10 years..........called long paks, 12v and weighed 95 pounds and where 3 ft long.

Check the blue wire where it crosses the green wire and make sure it didn't melt the insulation on the green wire and short when you soldered it.

ya but once the batteries die, you can change them as they are sealed.

Does the fan run at all with the pit probe plugged in?

My burner on my WSM 22.5 never has gotten clogged by ash, so far.
