    Tank holder wing nut size?

Probably a bit more than that for stainless. I thought it might just be a buck or 2 on amazon which would be fine. But it's more like 6 bucks. So yeah I'll probably just wait.

    Tank holder wing nut size?

Yeah some stuff from Amazon is delayed. But a lot of stuff is still shipping in 3 days. We are one of those parents who paid for their kids college education. He graduates this semester. We don't regret it at all. We could afford it and he's a great kid. He'll get to start out without that debt...

    Tank holder wing nut size?

Yeah that's the one. I know it's not essential. But it'll bug me until I replace it.

    Tank holder wing nut size?

Maybe I'm being over cautious Jon. I'm obviously going to work since I'm in healthcare. But other than that we are avoiding stores when possible. Yeah the spring break kids were pretty ridiculous.

    Tank holder wing nut size?

Looks like it's 1/4 - 20 inch. I looked in the owners manual. Duh....

    Tank holder wing nut size?

I was changing out the tank on my genesis 1000 today and the wing but on the arm bracket (with the scale) popped off and went between my deck boards. Gone. Anyone know exactly what size that wing but is? I'll have to order from Amazon. If rather not go to a hardware store right now...

    Genesis 1000 Redtop

Graham I have a genesis 1000 I inherited from my father roughly 5 years ago. It's hands down the best and most trouble free grill I've ever owned. And I've owned a lot of grills over the last 40 years of my adult life. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine.

    Dull SS Grates

Mine are pretty discolored too. But not really black. I'm fine with the discoloration. I haven't used a wire brush on mine in several years. Only the chargon.

Genesis 1000 restoration almost finished and my grill is smokin’

I didn't realize the frame took that much heat.

    Possible Generation One Genesis

Pretty cool. My father had a first generation Genesis. He later sold it and bought a Genesis 1000 that I now have.

    Another Grill Cover Thread

Kyle I have the newer weber covers for both my grills. I like them. I do cut those sewn in bags off. Dumb idea. I'll also echo what Jon said about the covers being lightweight but more breathable. I also think the softer lighter covers are less likely to scratch up the grill taking it on and...

    Congrats Dave in KC

Yes I was reading the list of teams never to win a super bowl just yesterday and saw your Vikings listed. And I thought Chiefs fans were long suffering!

    Congrats Dave in KC

50 years is a long time between super bowl wins. But I'll bet it's not another 50 years with a young quarterback like Mahomes calling the shots.

Anybody have experience with these thermometers?

I think you misunderstand his meaning. Of course rcplanebuyer grates perform and give results. But so do the cheaper quill metal ones. He's saying for him any difference in results and performance don't justify the significantly higher price. That's purely subjective and what's right or "wrong"...

Jon my wife is using my thermopro all the time too!

Anybody have experience with these thermometers?

I agree it's cool looking. But so is my 20 buck thermopro.

Anybody have experience with these thermometers?

If you are going to spend 100 bucks or close to it wouldn't a thermapen be the only way to go? Here's another "bargain" 100 buck thermometer i noticed. https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B071Z26XV1/tvwb-20

Anybody have experience with these thermometers?

I've never used one of the probe type thermometers where the probe stays in. What kinds of grilling do you guys use it for?
