Anyone tried these 9mm stainless grates?

Rcplanebuyer's are the best. I have a set. But there are are other less expensive options that are almost as good that will protect last a lifetime as well.

New Addition to the Family, rehab advice appreciated - Weber Genesis E-310

You asked about grates too. Most of us on this forum prefer the solid stainless rod grates over the cast iron. The stainless ones just last longer and are easier to maintain.

Larry thanks for the in depth review. Well done. Makes me want one.

Anybody have experience with these thermometers?

Knives are an interesting subject. I own some expensive knives. But I also own a number of very inexpensive old hickory brand knives. And those are the ones I reach for 99% of the time. They are just so easy to sharpen and hold their edge so well and also feel good in the hand to me. Being...

Anybody have experience with these thermometers?

Jon I do really like the looks of that thermpro you posted the pic and link for. It looks really well made for 22 bucks. It uses a commonly available AAA battery as well.

Anybody have experience with these thermometers?

I agree with that for most things however cost effectiveness plays into it too. For me the thermapen at close to $100 just doesn't quite cut it.

Anybody have experience with these thermometers?

Jon I haven't specifically used the ones you provided links to. But I've been using the low priced one below for over 2 years. It works fine. And I like that it uses an easily replaceable AAA battery. Most don't. I've thought about a more expensive one. But why when this one works so well...

    Grill light

I have mine on a 1000 too. But maybe we mounted them differently. Oh well I'm glad you found something that works for you.

    Grill light

Bruce I'm sorry yours failed. I wonder why yours did and mine is still going strong? I have mine adjusted so that it lights up the grill surface perfectly but while mine gets warm it hasn't come close to melting. Maybe even though the different brands look the same maybe they aren't? Meaning...

    Grill light

Two of three years ago we had a thread on here about grill lights. Several of us had bought the one below or the same or similar in another brand. There was a lot of discussion about how they would hold up. I only use mine about half the year when the days shorten putting it in storage the...

New player in the grate market? 304SS-3/8"- US Made

I agree. I would like to know more about these grates. I don't need them but I'm curious. It would be nice if there was another super high quality option.

New player in the grate market? 304SS-3/8"- US Made

Rcplanebuyer grates on the genesis 1000 style/size are $146 when you count shipping. Thsts off ebay. I think that's what I paid for mine several years ago. Wonderful grates but considerably more. I still think the Bbqparts grates are the best value. About $105 including shipping. Not as thick...

Interesting. A few years ago I asked rcplanebuyer if he would it could make stainless grates gives Q. He politely said no.

A visit to "Brandster" home of several high-end all stainless grills

I agree. I had a Q for a while. Used it for travel/camping. I liked the grill but just couldn't like the ceramic coated cast iron grates. The stainless grates have me spoiled vs all other types.

    Grill Rescue Brush

Bruce if you need any help with translation I've been a health care professional for almost 40 years. I'm a manager now but still can speak the lingo. My wife had a major shoulder surgery a few years ago and did well with it. Hopefully that's the case for you as well.

    Grill Rescue Brush

That grill rescue brush looks interesting. But I agree with Bruce. I only use round stainless grates and clean them with a chargon. It's very effective and totally safe.

Help Requested - Spirit 210 - Pork Butt Temperature Control Issue

I've not cooked pork butt on either of my grills. But I've done several racks of ribs low and slow using both my grills. I have both a 2 and 3 burner grill. Yes it's more challenging to maintain the lower temp on the 2 burner. I didn't prop the lid. I just periodically raised the lid on the 2...
