26 incher and not look'n back

I have an older 26" that I got off of craigslist. Didn't cook on it much to begin with, but it has since become my favorite. I'd certainly be happy to take either the blue or red 22" off of your hands though... That series of pictures has an unmistakable "gloating" feel to them...very nice..

The ace hardware link below has some additional photos of the new kettle - look like Weber stock photos. I'm reserving judgment until I actually see it in person. http://www.acehardware.com/pro...&clickid=body_rv_img

Woo Hoo Weber roti on the way!

Have had my weber roti for 10+ years and it's still going strong. I've gotten additional tongs for it - but haven't gotten a basket for it. I think the biggest turkey I've done on it was 23 or 24 lbs - it was just about scraping the lid. Enjoy....

    Return of Wood Handles!?!

I did a google shopping search on Weber fireplace and it definitely looks like it's back. I had looked into getting this fireplace a couple years back but couldn't find it anywhere... now it looks like it's being stocked again. Also - description say's "hardwood handles"...

    Return of Wood Handles!?!

found specs on it - 70cm width - so about 27.5 inches. Maybe not a poor mans ranch kettle, but a poor mans 26"? I believe the new 26" kettle grate is 26.5", so it might fit. Probably after purchasing grates, wheels etc. - wind up spending as much as a 26" kettle anyways.

    Return of Wood Handles!?!

I'm thinking that firepit - depending on diameter - could be a poor mans ranch kettle. Install a couple of daisy wheel/vents - charcoal grate and cooking grate - thoughts?

    Return of Wood Handles!?!

Pics please!!! I've always kept an eye out for the old wood firepit, but haven't been able to find one. Wonder what the diameter is on it - and if they make a great that would fit it??

The new RED Weber charcoal grills w/ link to pics

Hmmm... how are you supposed to pick the lid up with the handle in the front?? If it's a tuck-away and not a hinge - seems like it will be awkward trying to put the lid back on.

The new RED Weber charcoal grills w/ link to pics

The support folks at Weber, while great, usually don't have a clue when it comes to new products. They had no clue about the 26" kettle when pictures of it started popping up last year.

The new RED Weber charcoal grills w/ link to pics

Wow - so does that new four-legger have a hinged lid?? It must, considering that the handle is mounted in the front. Very interested in seeing that one in person. Wonder if they'll be offering a RED OTG.

    Help with 26" One-Touch Mod

I have the same grill you just got. The handles aren't a problem - but the OTG style ash cannister will not fit on this grill. On a 22 the cannister snaps into place around the leg brackets. On the new 26 it's the same cannister, but the leg slots are farther apart, so Weber added additional...

Weber SJ-100, anyone have any info????

BTW- if that thing is brand new you might want to consider seeing what Weber might offer you for it. I know of a particular person that had in their possession a "new old stock" 26" red kettle from the late 60's - Weber wound up giving them a brand new Summit in trade for it. You might not get...

Weber SJ-100, anyone have any info????

I just checked my late 60's weber catalog. It has the SJ-100 listed as a 13" smoky joe - very cool looking one with the offset handle - offered alone or along with the bk-100, which is a black 22" kettle.
