    Need An Opinion...Kettle Bowl Damage

Regina, It is not hard at all. 4 main bolts hold it to the cart. You also have some hardware holding the gas assist in, dont forget about that. Then you have to remove the lid bale (holder) there are 3 nuts for this and they may be a bit hard to get off since they are on the inside of the...

What is the Best Garlic Press?

I hate single use devices. A chefs knife is all you really need. Watch how Jacques Pepin minces/crushs garlic.

Mildo, it was not an unsuccessful cook if you learned something from it. From a visual perspective it is a smashing success!

Smoke Day 9 at the Pig Pen

My Smoke Day was a little early. I didnt have to work on Thursday and knew I would be working on my BiL's flooring the rest of the weekend. Earlier in the week I dug a twin packer of butts out of the freezer so they would be thawed by Thursday. 12.97# with a good rub. Smoking away on the...

    Need An Opinion...Kettle Bowl Damage

My brick red bowl did the same thing last year. I had a replacement ASAP. As George Curtis points out it is from banking very hot coals to one side repeatedly. Mine got that way from doing steaks. I now use the charcoal baskets to elevate my coals right under the cast iron in the CENTER of...

Anyone else use cast iron on a glass top?

I aren't to smart either , I guess. I use my old cast iron on a glass top all the time. As Bob says, dont slide or drop on it and you will be fine. Our next stove(top) will be induction so all our non-steel stuff is slowly going away.

    GW Cast Iron

Close but no cigar, Chris. It was a post I made here in 2011. My post contained combined information from BlackIrondude, WAGS, and myself. Not a big deal as I have all the photos and can re-write most of it. (Bill W. made reference to the suspect post on July 11, 2011 The Post
