    AubreyW, check the other threads on the subject. There's one Thermoworks probe that is highly recommended now. Bryan has recently posted on why some of the probes won't be viable due to the type of connector they use. http://tvwbb.com/showthread.php?44944-Better-probes/page7...

    McAfee is garbage. On Windows 8.1 I recommend the built-in Windows Defender and having the Windows Firewall on.

    Are you using some sort of VPN or proxy for connectivity to the Internet? I ask because there's no reason why CloudFront should be part of your URL to your HeaterMeter.

    404 means you are visiting the wrong link or something that doesn't exist. Either your bookmark got borked or your HeaterMeter is not serving up files that should exist. Fix that.
