    SmokeFire issues on YouTube.

Great points. Especially about letting customers test it before releasing it. I work in corp communications, I am eagerly awaiting to see how Weber is going to handle the backlash. I remember posting that it was strange that Weber didn't have some "influencers" making YouTube videos before...

    EX4 Experience

Good to hear a positive experience. I am sure many people are having a great time with theirs as well. The part about you having to level out the pellets does concern me though.

    SmokeFire issues on YouTube.

Weber did include this in their FAQ right before launch after saying for months that it didn't need a drip pan - "Note: When grilling or smoking over a longer period of time, we encourage the use of a water pan inside the cookbox." They also added this answer to a flare-up question on Amazon 3...

    SmokeFire issues on YouTube.

I watched it all the way through. I am fine with his style. I actually like it more as it isn't completely chopped up and missing details. Could it be cut down, sure but when I am doing my gardening videos I tend to leave it all in the video so that I don't cut something that may be valuable...

    SmokeFire issues on YouTube.

I saw that last night. I genuinely felt bad for him for two reasons. First his grill isn't working properly and secondly you can feel the guilt he has for hyping up the SmokeFire before release. He actually turned down getting a free one so that his videos would be unbiased. For me, the...

Indirect grilling or two-zone fire in a pellet grill?

From what I can gather, that top rack is going to be your "cool zone". I know I have seen people put a shield over half of the cooking surface and create their own cool zone, but that top rack seems a but more practical.

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

The Official FAQ is up on the Weber site - https://consumer-care.weber.com/hc/en-us/sections/360007750872-SmokeFire-Wood-Fired-Pellet-Grill Particularly interesting to me is the Error Code page - https://consumer-care.weber.com/hc/en-us/sections/360007406552-SmokeFire-Error-Codes Only 9 codes...

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

Found someone on social media who is putting pics/vids out there. Not a ton of footage, but look at this account - https://www.instagram.com/craftnbbq/?hl=en This series of pictures shows it in action, and the aftermath. In one shot there is alot of ash visible -...

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

I haven't been excited about a grill since I got my gen 2 Performer on sale back in the day. I was so happy and couldn't wait to put it together. I thought the propane starter was such a good idea! Still trying to wrap my mind around pre-ordering for a grill. I would assume Weber has sent...

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

Interesting about the Traeger guys. At the end of the day, competition is good for the consumer for sure. I mean, even the Cuisinart ones bring in some new ideas to the party. Traeger has plenty of products in a different price segment than the SmokeFire, so I am sure they aren't too worried...

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

I think it is clear that the app and software on the unit itself won't be fully featured at launch. As said in previous posts, we are going to be beta testing this for the people who pick this up during the summer. It's the part of being an early adopter that I am not a fan of. High Smoke...

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

I am hoping someone comes out with a non-Weber cover that is reasonably priced. I think the EX6 cover was $90.

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

Great video. Good to see it in action with a personality that seems to know what he is talking about. Also good to see the screen in action. Looking forward to when I get it in my backyard. Wow. That's pretty classy and impressive.

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

Looks like the release date of the EX6 has moved to February 10th. Atleast that is what it is saying on Amazon for my order. So much for a super bowl cook!

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

Seems like a smart temperature probe. Really smart move. Seems like with it telling people what to do via phone/tablet notifications will remove alot of the hurdles people have to getting it to BBQ. I know I learned by burning and undercooking alot of meat, lol. This Grilling Hub could help...

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

Interesting. The "Smoke Mode" is going to be a feature coming after launch as well. Seems like the app/software is still in development, even this close to launch.

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

I don't think there is an official date. To be honest, I am pretty surprised. I would think they would have sent a few to Youtubers for some free advertising by now as well. It won't matter a few months from now, but my anticipation is pretty high.

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

My Amazon order says January 25th currently. But there has not been an "official" release date given by Weber yet.

New Weber pellet grills for 2020

I do think that where other manufacturers have an advantage is they offer sub $1000 units. The $500 - $700 range is pretty large. I would guess that range is the biggest segment. I do think that $1000+ can be dominated by Weber for sure. I could see them coming out with a $600 model in a few...
