    Do we need a chimney?

I got mine last year for $7 from Walmart at the end of the season.

I'm shoppin for a garage door opener

I think you can retro fit MyQ to openers that don’t have it. I’m thinking of doing this for mine. My opener is by Marantec. It is very quiet as it’s belt driven. I had it installed by the garage door company back in 2005 for $300 each. Very happy with it.

    Battle of the Bulge

My first reaction when I saw the thread title was someone complaining about their waistline. On a serious note, hats off to the brave men who fought in one of the toughest conflicts of the war. One of my father-in-law friends was in this battle but never wanted to discuss what happened...

    COVID 19 vaccine

I don’t know if anyone is old enough to remember but were there any antivaxxers back in the 50s who were against the polio vaccine?

First restoration, i'm a sucker for punishment so I'll do two at once. Gen 1000 & 2000

That’s an impressive cleaning job you did. Did you use a wire brush wheel or was it sandblasted? What is that spacer thing at the end between each set of flavorizer bars?

    Thinner pizza crust.

Do you double the recipe to make dough for one pizza? If so, that’s way too much. My recipe is 5 cups of flour and makes dough for two 15” pizzas. I use sourdough starter instead of yeast.

    Thinner pizza crust.

Can you post your dough recipe? I still think that you are using too much dough.

    Thinner pizza crust.

Try cutting the dough ball in half. Maybe the issue is that you’re using too much dough for a single pizza? It also helps to let the dough rest a few minutes after stretching it out before stretching it some more.

Starting to restore a Weber Genesis 2 redhead. NG to LP conversion.

It’s good to know your limits. The only gas work I’ve done is to connect the drier up and the valves & quick connects to the stubs. But I let the plumbers do the rest. We do a lot of veggie roasting in the summer. So one grill is an oven while the other one is for grilling. Sometimes I have...

Starting to restore a Weber Genesis 2 redhead. NG to LP conversion.

I agree that it’s not hard even black piping assuming you are not doing new threads and you are careful to check for leaks. I agree that it’s well worth it. I would suggest running 3/4” piping so that you can hook up several appliances if desired. The up charge will not be that much more. I’m...

    Worst Weber Ever?

Yes, that's me in a nutshell. I think I have a total of 4 stashed (broken up) in my shed along with the one I use (red, maroon, green, gray, skyline) and I still keep my eyes open for another one. I need to start rehabbing them but I haven't yet. I must say that the classic look is a little...

Starting to restore a Weber Genesis 2 redhead. NG to LP conversion.

I think I might also have a scale and panel that I could include for a nominal cost...mainly for the increased shipping charge. Send me a PM if you are interested and I'll send pictures. These will be from Genesis 1xxx series which use the same parts as Genesis 2 if I understand correctly.

Starting to restore a Weber Genesis 2 redhead. NG to LP conversion.

What is the condition of the NG manifold? I’m always looking for them to keep as spares for my grill. I have several LP manifolds and would be up for a swap.

Bless Me Father I Have Sinned

I remember some years ago I was flipping through the TV channels and came across some program where they were reciting the rosary. I watched the sister for a few minutes and then moved on.

Hi Everyone I'really glad and proud for beeing here. Greatings from another part of our planet (Poland) Weber have lovers in every part of earth ;)

Welcome Martin. I’m 50% Polish on my Mom’s side. My great grandparents (Ostrowski/Sempkowski) came from Poland in the early 1900s and settled around the South River, NJ area with other immigrants. Will have to visit the mother country one day.
