    GrillGrates on Gassers

Yeah, I've been reading that everywhere, too. Are his flavorizer bars better than Weber's SS? I have 6 of those already.

    GrillGrates on Gassers

Very good to know. I've heard nothing but good things. How is it cooking indirectly on it? I was worried that the low/no flame area would still conduct a lot of heat, since GGs heat so evenly.

    GrillGrates on Gassers

I've been creeping around here for a while and never read that. Very interesting. Do you happen to know which model grill they're from, or the part #? I'm still not dead-set on GG, considering the risk of them not working out. I was just impressed with reviews, reports of customer service, and...

    GrillGrates on Gassers

I should also say that any non-GrillGrate opinion is also welcome. I know next-to-nothing about this stuff. I kind of like the heavy PCI grates on the Silver B, but I don't like being scared of giving them a good scrub. And I was/am looking forward to flipping GGs upside down for some griddle...

    GrillGrates on Gassers

Question for those of you with older Weber gassers and/or GrillGrates (I myself have a Spirit 700 and Genesis Silver B, both using same size grates): Which direction is best for running the grates? I need to replace the current grates (one side is now gone and I can’t sit GGs on top), and...

(PICS) My "New" Old Weber Redhead (?)

This is awesome. Thanks, Jody! It's kind of cool seeing it in the brochure.

(PICS) My "New" Old Weber Redhead (?)

I saw somewhere, not on TVWBB (and now I can't find it), that those plastic tables with that line in them means it's a Spirit 700. I just can't confirm that anywhere since I lost that source. Yeah, it only has the 1 layer of FB.

(PICS) My "New" Old Weber Genesis Silver B

This is the other CL find I got, along with an older Weber redhead. It's obviously newer and a Silver. Maybe a B? I don't know the differences yet. It did NOT have an ID sticker under the control panel. And the stickers inside the cabinet were too faded or shredded. Anyone know the year and/or...

(PICS) My "New" Old Weber Redhead (?)

I scored this, and another one, a week or so back off of CL. I tried registering it with Weber, however their site says it doesn't recognize the serial # (I'm 80% sure it's EO-29954, model # 570000). If you guys could help me identify it, that would be awesome. I've used some grill cleaner on...

Are the new models not made as well as they used to be 1980s-2000s?

Thanks! I've already learned a lot in my week reading. I'm kind of addicted to the pictures, stories of restoration, and all the new information. I just hope the 2 grills I've acquired haven't already been ruined (looks like both of them have some sort of flat paint sprayed in the firebox)...

Are the new models not made as well as they used to be 1980s-2000s?

That's a bummer. I like how the new color enameled ones look, and was looking forward to having one someday.

Are the new models not made as well as they used to be 1980s-2000s?

Are they ALL made in China now? I was under the impression it was only the entry-level Spirits. Maybe I will HAVE to be an older-for-life guy.

Are the new models not made as well as they used to be 1980s-2000s?

I'm new to technique-grilling/smoking, and very new to Webers (just got my hands on a couple of "older" ones a week or so ago, which brought me here). So with that said, I genuinely know next-to-nothing, especially about grill reputations. I read a lot of love for the older Weber gassers. They...

    Hey from St. Louis, MO

I've been creeping on the forum for about a week, after getting an older Weber gasser, and decided to be more participatory (I'll have to post a separate thread with the grill - got a few questions). I'm a decent kitchen cook, new to Weber/decent grill ownership, and a mid-beginner with...
