100%. Yes, it's the discontinued consumable parts like the drip tray that we need.

    $20 find

Dude, you're sitting on an awesome skyline, pretty rare and cool. Hood go 0000 steel wool and a good degreaser for cleaning but... It's a (not as much as i want) GEM, because of big fade on the top. Skylines are so cool, but it's got the age of of 1991 Camry Wagon. I'll let the others chime...

    I am restoring this Genesis 5 ....

Joe, you can do it. You have the rare-ist of weber gas units. Take all you have learned from here and shoot the moon.

I will just leave this here

Haha, lets think about this. Unless you are near a guy like Bruce who rebuilds and does this... Go to a customer... "hey, you don't want to buy that, listen, you'll find one on facebook marketplace. go get one of these old ones. but just change the hardware. Get x, y, z from here, but wait...

I will just leave this here

I had my fun, 7:45 AM, so no customers to preach our grill religion to. The genesis II looked nice, all aluminum box, streamlined like an indycar; and it is nice when they are clean and grease free. The summit had a different panel for the front of the box, hopefully a better material this...

I will just leave this here

I was making rounds in Lowes this morning for random house weekend project stuff and took an in person look at the latest Webers. I was poking around a summit ($2k+ by the way) looking at how it's put together and an associate came by and said to me "you're liking that grill aren't you?" I...

    I am restoring this Genesis 5 ....

The more I look at this, I think the real magic is that the tiny plastic pieces inside the letters in the wheel have not broken yet.

Weber Genesis 310 (2008) - Manifold Rusted. Options?

I noticed something similar on mine and just took it off and hit it with a flap disc on the grinder to see how bad it actually was. I still had enough meat on it to use it. Cleaned it up and painted. Rust made it look worse than it was. I think a beefy L-bracket is a good idea and really...

    I am restoring this Genesis 5 ....

So thats a 5 and not a 5000, correct? Using my thing of no frame around the igniter buttons and I guess the flame check for that matter.

Wicked find Genesis 4000 1990's Cast iron grate/stainless/porcelain

The illusive 4000. I'm almost done restoring my 3000, and hope to find/build the right side swing table assembly to add at some point. That looks nice and good to see the OG wood handle still in good shape.

Thanks for the heads up post! I just pulled the trigger. Missed out the last time. Looking forward to doing that LED conversion I've read about here.

Genesis Gold Kicked to the Curb

Good to hear, who wants to hunt down a nuisance part. There are a boatload of deals on these exact genesis golds around NJ lately. Actually another similar one for free 30 mins from me just posted today that IS missing the table. If only I had the room and the time...

    2001 Weber Summit 450

Yes, I think that was from your post. Something just happened when I saw those 2 old school gen 1 6-burner summits show up for sale in NJ a few weekends ago. They're just that cool looking that I kind of want to take on the challenge of bringing one back and bulletproofing it. Once I finish my...

    2001 Weber Summit 450

Found this from another thread, not every angle but didn't look long, but my thoughts are that if it's just a few bends in a brake, it really can't be that big of a job. never seen one of these old summits in person, but every post about them here has me jonesing for one now.

    2001 Weber Summit 450

Do you have a standalone picture of that panel that fails? I'm curious as to how hard it really would be for one to fab up.

Vintage genesis Gold Side burner trivet RUSTED

That gas gauge thing is a weber part from some summits from what I found in research. I think it's just an unserviceable battery so you have to replace the whole unit when it's done. Cool mod I thought.

    Buying a natural gas grill

The general consensus here seems to be the older the better. Look for burners on the side rather than front and an open design w/o the cabinet. Those rust inside the cabinet on the bottom. You can definitely get an operable grill for $100 +- depending on region.

I will just leave this here

He hasn't responded to me and the deal is now listed as pending. I couldn't make it there until tomorrow but was prepared to buy it ahead of time. Looked decent enough for $50.
