Who will admit to liking steak sauce?

I occasionally use the ‘special‘ Heinz 57 w/Lea & Perrins or A1 Bold & Spicy. Mostly with cheaper cuts cooked on gasser.

New Weber Summit Kamado E6 - Lid misaligned

Mike, I have yet to get a Weber grill shipped to me that isn’t damaged. Performer multiple broken cart pieces and scratched lid, Spirit, dented bottom shelf on cart, Traveler broken side table, SmokeFire chipped paint on lid. My first WSCG from Amazon had so many damaged parts when I called...

    Wasn't expecting this...

Isn‘t titanium far more expensive than SS? My personal guess is it would be unlikely to release anything harmful to you, but please note that is only my guess based upon the fact they do use it inside the human body. My guess is that it is really never considered for cooking as quality stainless...

Picked up one of the new Travelers

Thought I'd share a couple pics here showing size and heat distribution. The GrillGrates are from my Q1000. I'm not heavily focused on learning all the ins and outs of the traveler right now, so haven't studied things like accurate temp ranges and such. I just wanted a quick visual reference for...

Burn in on New SmokeFire. Grill Lies? Not a great start

The iGrill probes are what the SmokeFire uses. They sell an iGrill pit probe you can plug into one of the ports and clip to a rack. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MCWS60B/?tag=tvwb-20

Do you know what that arrow thingy on your gas gauge means?

One of the benefits to driving a Subaru, faster to get to pump at Costco with fill on right side, lol.

So Weber wanted our opinions and sent this.

Me either, I've bought too many brand new Webers in last 10 years, registered them all, and cannot find an e-mail from them. Feel a little snubbed, actually a lot snubbed. Maybe if you've returned a grill they assume to know what you think about them.

Burn in on New SmokeFire. Grill Lies? Not a great start

The only thing that gives me confidence they'll get it all nailed down is that from the end of June until sometime in the fall when the firmware update and redesigned iOS apps came out (I think it was mid October), the grill ran flawlessly. So, I think they'll eventually get it back to that. I...

Burn in on New SmokeFire. Grill Lies? Not a great start

Unfortunately, I did return them both. First to Lowe’s in March before they changed their stance on drip pans and released the hardware updates to hopper and auger. I had the flameouts like you and issues getting to high temps after a while. I bought again over 4th of July sale after the...

Gen 2 EX4 new Owner initial thoughts

Very good assessment from my experiences. Only thing I would notice was sometimes number 6 seems to vary. I think due to a combination of weather factors and positioning of the heat shield and big center flavorizor/tent. If you slide both to the right, it seems you can push the hot spot left...

Burn in on New SmokeFire. Grill Lies? Not a great start

As Lew mentioned the finger guard design in the SmokeFire is ignorant. Being right at the opening to the auger it tends to bridge pellets, blocking them up for a while, then when you open the hopper lid, grill lid, or just enough vibration comes from the auger continuing to turn looking for...

What’s with the pop up ads?

I understand ads pay bills, but I’ve never gotten pop up ads here before. Why all of a sudden today? Multiple times too?

Picked up one of the new Travelers

That's something I've read about Napoleon too. And with limited local dealers, I didn't want the headache if there were problems. Overall, I don't hear a lot of complaints about the actual Napoleon grills themselves though. They have some nice features, especially in their bigger gassers.

Picked up one of the new Travelers

Not really, looked at it online, but with few napoleon dealers around here, I didn’t think very hard about it other than dual burners would have been nice.

Picked up one of the new Travelers

The grill is permanently built into the cart and folds up just like a dolly. So, it wheels around very easy. Has a piston on the cart to, so you can just pull the lever under the side table and it will fold down on it's own slowly.

Picked up one of the new Travelers

You bring up a good point, this is a different type of portable than other options. It’s neither small or super light. It’s portable like a big wheeled suitcase and super easy to put up and down. If you have a small car and want to take this on vacation, it’s going to chew up a lot of your...

Picked up one of the new Travelers

Honestly, It’s built like a kettle. lid is about the same thickness as kettle. Personally, I’ll take cooking space, convenience and functionality over lasting forever for $300. I know that makes me different than most here. I am a Weber fan, but not a rehabber.

Picked up one of the new Travelers

Traveler has 40 sq inches more space, so shouldn‘t be.
