We had a 9th place finish in ribs on that Friday, but the rest of the weekend didn’t go so well. Fortunately, we bounced back and did great in Morris IL. Next stop Stanley Wisconsin on July 6. If you get a chance, Bruce stop up and see me!

Best Dish! 🤣 I’m still working on one in the Ribs and Chicken category! 😀 We were presented with brats and beers from a local store and brewery. I took them out of the casing and made a brat patty with a beer cheese sauce served on a pretzel bun.

We finally made it to the KCBS 180 Club! We are proud to have been acknowledged at the same time as our friends Paulo with Justice BBQ out of Costa Rica and Schmidty with Loot’N Booty BBQ out of Arizonal!

Thanks Tony! We are running the same Rib recipe and time lines since it has proven well for us. This is our 3rd adjustment on Chicken and I think we’re going to see it out.

It’s a good day when you hear your name called 4 times! We finished 10th in Chicken, 7th in Ribs, 1st in Best Dish with a 180 and 6th Place Overall out of 40 talented teams!

Started off the weekend with a 9th Place finish at the Friday Rib Burn! Competing tomorrow and Sunday in a double!

Now that we are unpacked from Tennessee; it’s time to repack for Wisconsin! We are competing in the Friday night Rib Burn at 7 PM on June 7th and the double competitions on the 8th & 9th!

Here is a summary of our time at the event… Arrival and setup. Our turn in boxes for the Open… Unfortunately, we didn’t fare so well in the Open… But we didn’t let it get us down or get into our heads. I mean come on… We’re up against the best of the best! On to the Invitational. Ribs are...

Not quite that many! :) Teams from 31 states were there with 80 Master Series teams, 47 Backyard teams, and a combination of 118 teams for the Open.

I’m still down here in Tennessee for a little R&R after the competition. I will give a more detailed report when I get back, but the summary is that we were in over our head for the Open and our scores showed, but we finished 11th overall in the Invitational! Pictures to follow when I get back...
