I agree with Dave and Michaels, no need to buy a new manifold. Even if the LP manifold was defective you could use the NG manifold, you would only need to change the orifices from the LP to the NG manifold.
Register your grill and call Weber CS, they will send you a new lid, free of charge. You are out if luck if the previous owner had it registered on his/her name though.
Hi Dave, you better be buying more than lunch in a fine resto...Rochester is a 600+ miles drive from here! You are welcome to come and get it, bring a couple of NY strip steaks and we'll grill them on the redtop before you take it with you!
450 degrees in 4 minutes on high is about right, my Genesis 1000 gets to 550 in 8 minutes...I would say it is above 650 after 10 min. I will make a test next time I fire it up!
