    Chardonnay question

Caymus makes it. The Mer Soleil is probably one of the better Chardonnay in its price range. Speaking as someone who used to sell wine and spirits. Wife, who will only drink unoaked, loves it.

How about some good music links?

They were amazing. Hayward still tours with an acoustic guitar phenom named Mike Dawes, worth checking out. This is a French TV special from 1968. Note that "Nights In White Satin", performed here, didn't really chart in the US until it was reissued in 1972.

This is legit. It's the 900 block of Bourbon St. in the French Quarter. If you look on Google street maps now, you can see where they changed the signs to 15mph with overlays.

    Instant pots and rice

12 minutes at high pressure seems quite long for white rice. I know if you google instant pot and white rice time you get results that are all over the map, time and pressure-wise. I get perfectly acceptable white rice using 3 minutes at high pressure (Pressure Luck book recommended) and...

Went to refill a 20lb propane tank

U-Haul Rentals sells propane by the gallon. The website will tell you what locations have it. how much they have available and how much it costs. The last two are lies. I went to the location nearest me last year with two brand new, empty tanks. The "manager" yelled to a guy in the shop to ask...

I do a lot of newspaper archive research. People have always been grammatically challenged in this regard. My pet peeve is "would of" instead of "would've".

How about some good music links?

He's toured as part of Ringo's All Starr band, and there's a clip of him just spontaneous solo acoustic in-store (same song) at Norman's Rare Guitars on youtube that confirms he's a talent worth supporting. How about (that's some Allen Stone level interpretation right there):

    Seasoning Gone Wrong

A lot of collectors just use PAM, and prefer the results to traditional Crisco. Putting the pan upside down is advice for those who haven't yet learned what is meant by an extremely thin coat of oil.

    Seasoning Gone Wrong

My answer is usually, "You probably already have something in your pantry that will work just fine." No need to get exotic. Crisco, grapeseed, canola have all been used successfully for decades before somebody got everyone to go down a flaxseed oil rabbit hole. Bear in mind that what we are...

    Seasoning Gone Wrong

If still sticky after cooling, it's one of two things. Either too much oil or not baked long enough. Baking temp is subjective, but near the smoke point of the oil used is typical; no need to exceed. You can take refined avocado up pretty high. People think a thin coat just means not a lot of...
