Makes me sorry I pre-ordered an EX-6 at $1299.99. Wonder if its worth contacting Weber for a rebate, this is the second place selling for those prices.

They do help a lot. The covers still fit over the handles but its tight.

Thanks. The shed is just storage, I have racks on the rafters for the fishing poles and one side is for all the BBQ stuff. I'm hoping this fall to replace the roof shingles with a tin roof.

A few weeks ago I had some free time and material left over from an old job so I decided to make new stainless steel grates for my Smokefire. I made them a little bigger than the original grates so they fit a lot better, don't slide around when you clean them up.

I work with a lot of Architectural Hardware and became friends with Mark Ingratta from Bella Hardware in Chicago. He took my sketches and fabricated the handles for me.

Sketch attached, not sure if the PDF will work so I sent the picture as back-up. I cut an 11" radius out of a piece of sheet metal, put it against the smoker and marked the existing hole locations. The one thing I would change is the length of the slot for the screw. The smoker is not perfectly...

I love the look of the EX6 but the grates didn't look like they were for a smoker. I made new ones from stainless steel expanded metal and made them a little wider than the original ones and they fit much better.

I came up with an idea for adding handles to the mid section of the WSM, I sent my sketches to a friend of mine and he fabricated stainless steel handles that use the existing holes. My wife came up with the idea to hold the Thermoworks using a cell phone holder designed for a stroller.
