    Indirect on Silver A genesis

They used to Joe. I have ones for my Q120 and 220 that I bought in the US. I am guessing that they didn’t sell so they discontinued them. Keep an eye out, there might be some NOS around.

    Casters Brass Clip?

It is what holds the caster stem in the socket hole so it doesn’t fall out when you lift them up.

    Shipping fiascos

Sorry to hear of your accident Rich. I hope you get them in 3-6 weeks. I ordered a lower grill piece and a bumper cover for our Santa Fe in March and I am still waiting. Thank goodness it is still drivable.

I will just leave this here

You might try spraying it silver and then sanding it like the old style. You would end up with the reverse colours, just “Weber” in silver instead of black like it is now.

    Blacking out a Genesis E330

Looks Good DanHoo. I think I just might outboard my tank as well. It is hard to get inside the cabinet and I have scratched the floor which is now starting to rust. It is on a covered deck so it is more or less just the scratched areas that are rusting.

Genesis 3 (model 430000) LP manifold options?

Since it now works, I would go with the saying “ if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Although I have been known to be lazy at times and cheap too. 😆

Has Weber outsourced its customer support?

I am sure Weber has several call centres around the world because of different languages. The company I worked for did to. Just before I retired they switched to a worldwide system where if you were on hold in the US and there was someone say in Europe or India that was available and spoke...

1998 Weber summit 425 project - new member

Good to hear Sonia. If that thin aluminum holds up that well, then a thicker piece should last a long time. It would be cheaper than Stainless Steel and could probably be formed/shaped/drilled by us backyard modification experts without having to go to a sheet metal shop. Less money all around...

Stainless Steel Fasteners in a Genesis 1000 Fire Box

John, you do good work. I see nothing wrong with well thought out quality repairs. Sometimes it is what’s needed to keep these old Grills going. 👍

Newbie with an old Genesis--learning to refurb!

John, I got one of these to use in the RV because it had the remote probe. I haven’t tried the remote probe yet but the instant one work good, not quite as fast as the TP19. Fast enough for this old guy though. Let us know how the remote probe works please.

Newbie with an old Genesis--learning to refurb!

As an FYI. The side burners on these grills are okay for boiling stuff on but not so good for using a frying pan on. The flame area is too small and you can not turn them down low enough in my opinion. It is probably because Weber was scared the flame would blow out on low if it was windy.

Newbie with an old Genesis--learning to refurb!

Cassondra, I have a grill like yours and I had to replace all this long wires and igniters. The one you are looking to buy has one igniter instead of three and it is short so less problems. There is also one for the side burner though. The critters don’t chew the wires as there is no bottom...
