I will just leave this here

I also did this as a hobby and it was kind of fun while it lasted. But I stopped restoring grills mainly because of the dirty work and time I spent. Cleaning out fireboxes down to bare metal with a wire brush just takes time and is nasty work with all that dust. And scraping the inside of lids...

    Crossover Ignition System Panel

There are plenty of these around. Most folks here who restore grills have plenty of them. I would put it up on ebay. Good luck.

    Stainless Side Tables

Yes the Australians seem to love these Qs. Pretty popular in Downunder. Lots of modifications available. They even get a built in version: https://www.weber.com/AU/en/barbecues/weber-q-range/family-q-built-in-series/

Yes. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere.

For our Broilmaster fans. Looks like a fair offer for $100. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/237861364597638/?ref=search&referral_code=undefined

Looks like Weber is bringing the Pulse 2000 to the US, but...

I agree that the grill is tailored towards apartment tenants which are not allowed to use gas or coal. But with the restricted wattage you can draw from a US outlet you will be limited on heat. That is why I wonder if it will be that useful here in the US. In Germany an outlet provides 230V at...

Essential Genesis Rehab tool "GO BAG"

Oh and another tool comes to mind: A pair of small diagonal cutters. If you want or need to take the wheels off, you need the get these hub cabs off the axle which have these embedded metal spring washers. For me the easiest was just to cut the metal washers with diagonal cutters.

Essential Genesis Rehab tool "GO BAG"

For people outside the US and limited access to non metric tools: An 11mm wrench is a perfect replacement for the 7/16" wrench used here in the US.

Looks like Weber is bringing the Pulse 2000 to the US, but...

it only has 1,560 Watts. I guess this is because you can't draw more amps from a US outlet. In Europe the Pulse 2000 is offered with 2200 watts. Not sure the price of $900 is justified when you can get a Q2400 with the same power for a 1/3 of that price...

    Vieluxe by weber

I personally would not want to spend more than $150 to $200 on such a behemoth. Parts are almost impsossible to find and freaking expensive if still available. But that is me.

Weber 9057 Grill Light: LED Conversion.

Postal service is slow right now. I had a package coming from Massachusetts to Texas via priorty mail. It took 13 days. But I also just reversed the batteries on mine. So far it has been working flawless for about two years.

Cool. I would also take a look if it would be about 2K miles closer to me. lol.

    Anyone use a wok?

I also use a wok in combination with the vortex and the GBS grate. But I do not use a Weber wok. I have a cheap 18" round bottom blue steel wok. Much cheaper and larger than the Weber wok.

    Old red kettle worth it?

Would this red kettle be worth a 3h round trip? Seller is asking $30 and there might be room for haggleing. But it looks like it has the typical rust spots at the welds for the charcoal grade and handles.

    Finally finished my Genesis 2000

Looks awesome. I did a similar restoration with my Skyline earlier this year. The dark stained and glossy cedar looks good with black grill. This was originally a 3000 but I decided not to use the side burner. And I went for the easy option and used a wire basket instead of slats at the bottom...

I will just leave this here

This is what I paid for mine in April. But I did not keep it. And it took me weeks to sell that weird rolling bag. No one wanted it.

I will just leave this here

I had one as well, but was not impressed with it and sold it a few months ago. I don't "travel" with my grills and for use at home there is no advantage over using one of my kettles. Plus for quick grill sessions of small food batches I prefer my Q1200. I am just too lazy to fire up charcoal for...

Looking for an angle grinder for grill rehab work???

I used HF ones as well. Got one with coupon for $5. Sold them a few weeks ago for more than that. lol I actually only used the braided brushes on the inside of the firebox. I did not bother about the scratches. The brushes with the thinner wires always lost the wires on me. They constantly broke of.

I will just leave this here

I also had a few exotics such as a Skyline, a Genesis 2 and a CharQ which I wanted to keep for fun. But I finally decided I only keep the grills I really use. I do not have the space for another collection. And long term it would do these grills no good sitting outside all year around. So I let...
