    indoor tv antenna

No question that most indoor antennas are for "local" channels. 100 miles is a stretch for any antenna. With my 8-bay antenna properly coupled with a large, older "winged" (my term) 100-mile antenna plus amplifier AND a rotor, I could pull in stations from Charlotte 100-125 miles away to the...

    indoor tv antenna

Despite all the bad-mouthing here and the low reviews at Amazon, I have this one currently sitting almost invisibly on my window sill 4 feet off the ground and I get every station within 50 miles including those with the better 4K transmission provided over the air...

    Read Any Good Books Lately?

You or Al Capone Larry? The quote and your comments suggest it's Capone. Do a simple Google on "Al Capone History" and basically all you get is the negative and the movie/tv presentations along with a lot of commentary about how most of the "story" was made up for "excitement". Oops: The...

    Thanks! Interesting!

    Read Any Good Books Lately?

Ok, I give. I always thought it was Al Capone and Google Al Cqpone, you get wikipedia which seems to confirm it. Wrong?

    Read Any Good Books Lately?

I agree that you can re-read many books and they are just as enjoyable all over again. Some think I have too much time on my hands, but I've read Hobbit/Lord of the Rings 15 times in my life. Peter Jackson read them 19 times and look what he did... I've read A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of...

New Dog Pics - Post Pics Of Your Best Friend!

Congrats, Brian. Losing one is terribly hard, but finding the new one is special and helps a lot. No question -- she is a cutie! She has those eyes that suck you in.

    Hottest Pepper In The World.

True. But some "idiot" (not me) might dice and then clear their eye... Please, please not me!

    Hottest Pepper In The World.

Given my experience with Woodstock Scorpion sauce, I hope to try this. The blend could be great.

    Hottest Pepper In The World.

Exactly! Ratiional (though most call it irrational) heat is just fine so long as they provide good flavor. Ghost peppers are my current favorite. The Scorpion pepper sauce i have (almost gone a few drops at a time) didn't offer any flavor, just unreal heat. Beyond that, anyone wants to claom...

    Another Nice Gadget I Found

Seems like a nice find. We just bought a Shark for a couple hundred, but not my favorite. Noisy and really doesn't have great suction even on high battery mode. I might buy one of these just to please the dogs (don't like the noise) -- and maybe me too.

    Hottest Pepper In The World.

C'mon! I like heat as much as (or more than) the next guy, but I got myself in trouble once with too many habaneros in a dish (stomach hurt like hell for a couple of days -- and then the next part) and then more recently over did a Scorpion pepper sauce (seemed to blister my mouth, but was...

Ever Wonder What Happens if You forget to Turn your Q Off?

Definitely agree. At best, you can waste a lot of propane (a LOT!). Don't dwell on the worst. After this happening to me too many times, I've worked hard to develop the habit of turning off the burners and then turning off at the tank. Than can be a hard habit to develop, but well worth it...

I’ve Met my Match and it’s a Mouse

Could be female and is having a litter under the stove. Not taunting, it happened to us. Mouse wasn't getting into our food, so the first sign we had was a wee 1" fur ball skittering across the floor. Then another... Forgot how we got rid of them, so I'm no help at all!

Football musings - vent, laugh, oh my!

Why must there be so much sadness? Panthers are 0-4. Waste of a great quarterback. Hope he doesn't get hurt with a line that just melts.

    Nobody Using Q Grills?

Our Q is our vegan grill due to my wife's alpha-gal. The Genny is 3-4 tmes a week, but the Q maybe monthly.

Which accessories should I start with for 22" weber kettle

I didn't have a kettle, but and Genesis and WSM. I used them, but got enthusiastic about accessories. Most of them I have since discarded. An instant read and a decent monitoring thermometer are really useful. A small grill basket helps. And any cast iron pans or skillets will never be...

    Trying something new

Sorry, but this seems like what I would expect. Without a decent slicer you can't get thin enough not to be chewy (tough) IMO. My preference is to play with chuck roast. On the other hand, it sounds and looks to me like you succeeded other than not having a slicer. Really THIN slices...
