How old is this cute little grill?

This is a real cliffhanger regarding the hood color! I should mention that even if it's black, those Juniors are still really cool grills. If I had one, I'd use it for nights when we were just having burgers and dogs, or maybe chicken pieces. Good job rescuing that little guy, I'm eager to...

How old is this cute little grill?

Great save, nothing looks too far gone. The hood is painted, is it black underneath or will we be thrilled with red when you get to it?

That is a cool destiny for a curb pickup!

    Rotisserie Crispy Skin

Joe, I should add that when I dry brine the birds, I leave the breasts up so that they are not sitting in the water that gets generated overnight as the chicken Brines. Keeps the drum sticks etc out of the water too.

    Rotisserie Crispy Skin

Dry brine Joe, I let it brine overnight. Then today at 5 I shook the water off, rubbed on some cornstarch, wet rubbed inserted the Meater and away we went! We were eating about 6:45.

    Rotisserie Crispy Skin

So that one was a Peruvian. I went to the other side of town to replenish my stocks of Aji Amarillo and Huckatay today, picked up a couple of limes and turned a Peruvian tonight. One other thing I did was (and I did brine that bird overnight, but that's not the other thing) I rubbed some...

    Genesis Lid Warranty Claim

Part of the purchase price is the warranty. Now, I've never bought a Weber new, and neither have I made any warranty claims on my secondhand grills. That's what I gave up buying them used. It is disappointing to see that for those who pay a premium (usually at least double or triple price)...

X2 on top coating the POR-15. You don’t want to do all that work only to leave it just as susceptible to ruin as it was before you started

How old is this cute little grill?

That's a Weber Junior. Very rare. Also, tough to replace the burners for that one, they are shorter than Genesis or Spirit burners. But a cool little grill. I'd snag it if I were you!

For the price being asked, I'd want one with integrity and not a fixed one. For $20, maybe I'd feel differently.

Not grilling - sucked down the TVWBB rabbit hole

Leave the best one for a cooker and redo the others, then switch! You never know when one of those reps really go outside the box and brings in something of recent extreme value: uncooked groceries!

Newbie with an old Genesis--learning to refurb!

I'm partial to the Meater, but agree that a good thermometer is an essential for grilling!

Newbie with an old Genesis--learning to refurb!

Good point about the rotisserie. Those work best on the older grills with "east west" burners, yours are "north south". For those of us with older grills, the burners are parallel to the rotisserie spit, which allows the heat to be in the exact correct direction for spit cooking. There are...

Newbie with an old Genesis--learning to refurb!

I do like the Weber spatulas and tongs. The spatulas are a bit weak, but I do like the tongs. They fit on the clips I have on my old grill well, and I've learned to use them well. I even use two sets of tongs to remove my heavy, heavy grates for rotisserie cooks, so I don't end up with black...

It looks new! Unbelievable. I'm also going to ask: can you take some pictures inside the cabinet and under the hood? Be careful, there could be stacks of money in there!

Hey C: I hope you're just busy with other things and that the grill is coming along or on pause. We care about these grills. A lot. Let us know what you need!

    Colorado Genesis 1000 Restoration

The absolute ideal is to get yourself two gas grills, ideally two of the same used ones. Then, you can Franken one of them up without getting obsessive and cook on it for now, and the second one can be prettied up at your leisure. When you're done with the one you spent more time on, then you...
