    Boxing Day dinner..

Seems a bit quiet in here lately, so thought I would post a picture of my boxing day dinner. 1 x Large Red Emperor stuffed with lime and coriander, 2 x crays split in half. Was a nice feed on a hot evening, nice crisp salad and a few drinks. Weber Q 300...

    Gas gauge

Not sure what everyone here does to monitor the amount of gas used, but I got sick of recording the amount of hours I got from the bottle and guessing if the next cook up was going to be ok. I went into BBQ Galore and they sell these little safety gas gauges, it doubles as a gauge and a safety...

    Resting Steaks

I have seen it on a few cooking shows on foxtel and fairly sure read it in a cook book.. I will try and find where I have seen it and let you know. I found it strange myself as its not how I cook steaks, but just wondered if there was some new flandangled way of doing them..

    Resting Steaks

Hi All, I use my grill (Q300) probably 2 to 3 times a week for steaks, roasts ect. Recently on some cooking shows I have heard them say to seal the steak, take it off and rest for 15 mins, then back on and cook it to how you like, then a small rest at the end...Does anyone do this method?

Proud owner of Q300 with couple questions

Hi Cain, I have a Q300 for the past 12 months, they are a sensational bbq. So good are they that I have not made a roast or cooked meat inside since owning this, except for fish I have done inside. I would have no reservations getting rid of the other one. Cheers.

a great way to grill chicken pieces on the q 300 w/ pics

Hi Pinny, good artical thanks. I actually cooked some chicken last night along with some steaks. Using the 300q I had the outer ring on and centre off. I found the chicken stuck a bit, after I browned both sides I let it finish off on the roasing rack for about 20 minutes. Nice idea using the...

    Moving right along

Ok well its been a while since I posted on here, mostly due to the minor regulator disaster I had with my new 300q, but to Webers credit they shipped me one out pronto no questions asked and I was back in business by christmas day. So recently I have been having great success with roasts, cant...

    Weber Disaster Conclusion

Hi all, Ok so with regards to the Weber issue I had previously posted about, thanks for all the advice, however the broken bit did not want to work no matter what I tried. I had Weber call me after I fired off an email and they said that they were putting a new regulator out to me today air...

    Weber Disaster

Thanks Davo, I did send Weber an email last night explaining how dissapointing it was to have the grill fail on me while having people over..bit of egg on my face there.... I havent yet spoken to them as far as the dealers go, I was going to ring them Monday and express my dissapointment about...

    Weber Disaster

I`m located in Australia, so the cold sint a problem. On turning the Weber on again this morning, still no joy, in fact I cant even hear/smell gas if I leave it on for any period of time. I contacted the store where I bought it and they told me to ring Weber, not interested in any after sales...

    Weber Disaster

Hi guys, I wouldnt think that its insects or cobwebs as its only 3 weeks old and clean as a whistle, and I keep it covered. It looks like the gas flow has been restricted. I am guessing looking at a few simular complaints online that its gotta be the regulator or something like that. Bloody...

    Weber Disaster

I cant believe I am making this post, but I am so jacked off right now its not funny. Here it is, late afternoon, felt like a nice Weber Q roast chicken, done all my prep work. Went out and lit the Weber Q300 (Brand New only done about 4 cooks on it) initially I thought the flame looked a...

    Grill cleaning

Does anyone on here ever take their grill bars off and scrub them with hot soapy water, or just givem them a good scrub with the Weber wire brush after heating it up to use? I only ever give the bars a clean down after use and then again once I have heated to cook on. I found that when I put...

    Q100 vs other Qs

Hi Jay, I have the Weber Q 300. I gotta say its sensational. As Phil said they`re not idiot proof, but compared to the results of my last generic brand, this thing rocks... The temp is so easy to control and very responsive when turned up or down..I only cook for two generally but love the size...
