Hi there, I am looking a used weber summit, what I think is an older s-620. I'm a little confused as the grates appear to be cast iron, but i thought summits were all stainless?? Any guess as to the age or year? Are the burners and flavorizers stainless or regular steel? Its an NG version...

Thanks Frankie - was hoping someone who has owned both would post. Can you comment on quality of the two? Any differences? That makes sense - thanks. probably not a huge impact to me as I don't do rotisserie and seldom do ribs, but I can see the issue.

Just to be clear - I'm only looking for feedback on north/south burner 300 series vs east/west versions. I don't care about the older ones in this thread. I hear ya LM and I had done that very same thing with my 1000, but I was a bit bored with it and do enjoy the newer one. About 1 " deeper...

Let us know how you do. I called Weber Friday and they were no help -- really surprised they did not have any paint or suggestions. I used a medium gray rust paint from the hardware store and it came out too light -- did not match.

Thanks. That color is harder to match than you think. I ended up going with a self etching rust primer and medium gray rust paint that matched pretty closely from the cap to the existing color, but it wasn't close once it was used. Came out way lighter.

Hey there, I'd like to paint the grey metal inside the enclosed part of our Genesis 300 series we picked up used. Does anyone know of a good paint that matches the color and works well? Thanks in advance!

Thanks. That's why I am posting it here as all us us are above average (ha!) and we know that $150 grills at walmart are POSs. Price is OBO.

OK, finally getting back to this. Was out of the country and then got busy. As described before, this is a well-loved Genesis original (propane, side burner) that I semi-restored about 10 years ago with a new wood handle, stainless burners, thick stainless flavorizer from that guy on ebay...

What were you hoping to spend? Maybe my price is high. I can also maybe sell the cover, tank and smoker box separately, but really want to try to make this easy.

Yes. Would need a full size replacement grill for the left side though. PM me with offer. @Bill: Thinking 175? Most beat ones on CL go for 100 and this has a $40 new cover plus the unobtanium smoker box. I'm in OC near the airport.
