You all have good points! You don't need to replace them untill they are falling apart. The SS bars will begin to get small holes and wear around the edges in about 3-4 years with normal use. They often last 7+ years before the welds start to break.

Good choice on the E320, if you look at the burner tubes, the front and back burners are about 1/2" away from the cook box. With the center burner turned off you have the same amount of cooking space (front to back) as you do on the Summit.

Even 17lbs should be too much! The tanks have an "OPD" valve in them to prevent over filling them. They shoud only be 80% full. (20 X 0.8 = 16) They should only have about 16lbs of propane in them. The "OPD" is mandated but the fill amount is not... Could be one of the reasons we no longer...
