Wanted to wrap up this thread.
I've replaced both the igniter and hose/regulator and the BBQ works like a champ. I tried to straighten up the hose but either I wasn't able to or the issue was with the regulator. Either way, I'm fired up and ready to cook!
Thanks for all the help.
Thanks much for the help. When I disconnect the tank, I hear the pressure realease and I am able to use the same tank with my Weber Q220 so I doubt it's the tank.
The lady on the phone mentioned the manifold but I wonder if after 2 years of sitting covered under a roof and maybe monthly usage...
Tried to replace the igniter, no change.
Called Weber USA and spoke to the support staff. She said the grill is to be used in the country of purchase. I asked if I can get support, she reiterated the original purchase.
So it would appear i'm going to have to get a friend to call into support...
Called Weber (Singapore) and they told me that because the BBQ was from North America that they cannot give me replacement parts due to "International Warranty not covered"
I've recorded the call in frustration as I asked how can I buy the parts and the lady said "cannot do".. Looks like i'll...
I should have been clear. Soap on the outside to detect leaks. Pressurized air for the inside but unfortunately I don't have that type of device..
Looks like I may just buy another cable with regulator as the $30 + $20 shipping option.
Thanks Tim. Can you advise how to check for this? Pressured air, soap test? Not sure how to get into the cable
Will check it out today. Would make sense as it was just working then stopped.
That I didn’t. Good suggestion
Thanks @LMichaels for the insight and tip.
Cheers to Kyle and Jon for the help as well.
Will order myself a new hose and regulator as well as a started. I live overseas so it's not easy to get those.
Thanks Jon and Kyle. I'll see about replacing the regulator and hose.
I may just buy those parts in case a rainy day happens.
So just to confirm, the ignigter doesn't have a valve that opens or closes which may be stuck?
If the regulator was in regulate (Warren G?) mode, the BBQ would...
Thanks Joe for the quick response. Any idea why they both seemed to fail at the same time. The igniter doesn't make a clicking sound with a new battery. Or maybe it's just the slight chance they both went bad?
Not sure if I've found the forum to ask for suggestions so mods if this is the wrong sub-form, please advise.
I have a Weber Genesis E330 grill, about 3 years old. . I haven't used it it in about 2 months due to other commitments. Saddened by this, I planned to do a big cook last week but...
Hey everyone. Just found this forum when searching for clues to the symptoms my Weber Genesis 330 was having.
Relocated Canadian who loves to BBQ. Thinking about getting importing a smoker soon.
Most of the fun of BBQ for me is having friends and family enjoy the output of my grill...
