    Post your live HeaterMeter Cooks

Well here is my first turkey of the holiday. 16lbs, brined about 12 hours, dry rub with a 2 hour rest. Hickory pellets in a smoker tube. The cooker is electric. Done while at the movies. Though for some reason my new set point didn't take when it hit my probe high. So overshot a little...

    Post your live HeaterMeter Cooks

I haven't fired up the HeaterMeter in quite a while. I am controlling an electric smoker using an SSR. When I fired things up for the day my GFCI was tripped. It appears my SSR was toast. Luckily I had replacement parts. Best I can tell, my bonding of the the SSR to the metal case that it is...

Cooking beans in the crock pot. Posted a little late, but it will still be going until the cornbread is done! http://slackserver.no-ip.org:69 This is my first attempt at using the HM on the crock pot. I will soon try some Sous-vide

    Electric smoker

I don't have any useful details at the moment, but I am currently running my electric smokers with a HM. I know I tweaked a few settings in HM config, definitely no hardware changes except for the SSR in lieu of a fan.

HM version 4 Rpi 3d print case

Excellent. So have you declared the design good (enough)? I know you were doing some tweaking and you may never stop.

looking for replacement dc power jack for the RCA jack

How about a scotch tape flag on the top? This could either be left on and will bend out of the way, or just added when you are reflashing. Confusing text pic: ____ ___|__ \ | | | | | | |___ __| | |_____|

    Alarm Script Recipes

Damn, I wish I could read. I had seen the previous screen shot showing the SMTP configuration in LinkMeter->SMTP. No matter how hard I looked there I couldn't find it. I kept installing, removing, installing and nothing worked until I read the important part below.

    Did i burn somethng out

I would suggest adjusting the LCD pot. I had a similar "problem". I tested the board out using the RPi micro USB and adjusted the LCD pot to nice and viewable. When I switched to powering directly from the HM, the screen was blank(ish). I too thought I had fried something until I adjust the...

    Alarm Script Recipes

Dale, You will need to use a text editor to edit the msmtprc file which is located in the /etc folder. The only editor that I believe is included with the HM is vi (a stripped down version at that). I am not going to try to give you a vi tutorial. Check out this one...
