    I will take a pic next time I use it at night. So far no issues and I think it puts out more heat. Not sure if it's the fire glass or if not having the logs the flames get higher. I don't know all the details of powder coating but the guy sand blasts the old finish off, then sprays the powder...

    I have had mine since 2005, took it to the powder coater about 7 years ago, it got scratched up during a move so took it to the powder coater again.     The glass looks pretty good.. and I think it will heat up a little hotter than the lava rocks. Good find!

    Does anybody know if it is possible to convert one of these from propane to natural gas? I know none of the parts are available anymore so not sure if it would be possible or not.

    We have had ours since 2005 and can't even imagine how many gallons of propane we have ran through it. Unfortunately the igniter has bit the dust and needs to be replaced. Does anybody know if the igniter on Weber BBQ's is compatible? As far as using it on a deck.. definitely not an issue.. we...
