    Searwood - Yea or Nay?

Question, does the smoke boost on the Searwood make any difference, does it improve the smoke flavour?

    Searwood - Yea or Nay?

Yes seen the Ironwood & Timberline at my local Garden Centre, thats where BBQ's are mostly displayed in the UK. They are solidly built, but silly money really. Mrs's M wouldn't allow me. Cooking some steaks & Chinese belly pork on my BK in a short while, but secretly dreaming of the SW. By...

    Searwood - Yea or Nay?

Had my Broil King for over a year now, and I'm tempted to get a SW. I want an all round BBQ, and I like the ease of a pellet grill. My BK is not bad, but just a few minor niggles. It's a pain to clean out, well bit of a faff. There's a fair bit to remove to get to the burn pot. Outside is...

    Searwood - Yea or Nay?

We'll have to agree to disagree then. Perhaps its my Broil King. I've taken to add wood dust trays to increase the 'smokeyness'. Cooked fair few briskets on my WSM, can't get a similar bark on my BK.

    Searwood - Yea or Nay?

I've had a WSM for some time, but I bought a Broil King pellet grill, just for the convenience. Pellet grills are great, but just don't give that total smoky experience IMO, that charcoal and or wood chunks can give you.

    Bought a brisket for weekend

I could let you know the price of brisket :)

    Bought a brisket for weekend

In the UK, we are paying the equivalent of $7.20, if my maths is correct.

Smokefire Stealth EPX4 won't reach more than 250C/480F

Had a similar thing with my Broil King, it was the controller, as you say not adding enough pellets.

Smokefire no longer available on Weber.com

Nope. I did ask Weber UK a while ago, and they have no date when the Searwood was going to be available to buy. Thats why I went over to the dark side and bought a Broil King!

Smokefire no longer available on Weber.com

Still available with Weber in the UK with 5 year warranty. Some dealers however, do not have stock of EX6 or Stealth's. Probably another year till they run out of stock.

    The Searwood has arrived!

Does the controller just give you these numbers 1-10, or does it also provide actual temperature readings?

    The Searwood has arrived!

Just recently joined the pellet grill club, with a Broil King. I admit not to have done that many cooks, love the convenience, but not converted yet to the amount of smokiness of a PG. My son has a gravity fed Masterbuilt, which for those that don't know uses charcoal, and you can add wood...

Smokefire Stealth EPX4 won't reach more than 250C/480F

My BK ramps up changing from smoke to roast, and roast to sear. As does the regularity of auger movements and time duration. With my faulty grill, the controller just didn't add enough pellets, for long enough to go from 250'C to 315'C.

I think I'd go back to Weber. I emailed all sorts at BK, posted on facebook pages, then suddenly BK MD rang me...........
