    Yes! I was able to hit the HM web interface from my laptop. Still cannot ping my laptop or the router from HM. You are right I could not ping the router from my laptop either. Not sure why HM will not ping my laptop but it is now working. Thx!

    Yes. My router is 192.168.12.108. It assigned 192.168.12.97 to the HM. HM still cannot ping the router .

    My IP settings are correct. I stuck a Netgear switch between them. Same thing. No ping.

    I have directly connected my laptop and heatermeter many many times. A crossover cable is not needed.

    When I'm doing this the usb wifi dongle is disconnected. There is a cable direct between my laptop and the heatermeter. Not sure how but the heatermeter is getting that address. My laptop is set to static IP.

    OK, following up. I found the the middle LED was soldered on the board with the wrong polarity. I removed it and changed the polarity and it now works fine. After this I adjusted the LCD pot and I now have text on my display. Everything is working 100%! I'm not sure that the polarity issue on...

    I verified voltages 12, 5, & 3.3 are all looking good. Checked the pins from the microcontroller LCK, MO, SCK pins to the riser header LCD1F. All good.

    OK, by adding solder to the probe jack connections I now have all probes functioning! I went over all of the solder joints and cleaned the board and the LCD display still does not display text. Anything I can test with a meter to see where it's going south?

    Hello everyone. Just completed a new build and I'm having a few issues. Most certainly related to my eyes and soldering ability:). Here is what works: I can boot and connect on Wifi to the PI and access the graphs and config. Thermocouple works and seems accurate Thermister probes 2 & 3 work...
