    Genesis II E410 vs. LX-E440

So even though the btu's are driven by the orifice, does anyone have definitive info on difference between the burners I posted? Perhaps something to make it a little better suited to increased btu's?

    Genesis II E410 vs. LX-E440

Thanks, Larry. That is a handy reference! Now to see if I have the stones to go drilling on my valves... Anyone got a spare set laying around?

@Stefan H That's where I was at too. I didn't pull the trigger until my old workhorse couldn't pull the plow anymore and I found a deal I could live with on a 2nd hand unit... Let's just hope the quality of the 2nd gen Genesis is reminiscent of the originals.

If I found the E310 for $169 I would have picked up one for each of my 2 brothers-in-law!

Having recently "converted" to Weber for a gas grill, I'm learning a good deal about the history of their product here... I have had a few friends and relatives with older Genesis grills that I was impressed with from a quality and durability standpoint. I've also had a lot more friends and...

    Genesis II E410 vs. LX-E440

I appreciate the input, all. Bummer, though. I was hoping there was an incremental improvement I could make to the output on my new(-ish) acquisition by simply swapping a few factory bits. Guess I got spoiled tuning early water cooled VW's with all of their LEGO-esque improvement options...

    Genesis II E410 vs. LX-E440

OK- Noobie question here... The E410 is 4 x 12,000 BTU for 48,000 BTU total on the main burners. The LX-E440 is rated at 52,000 BTU total on the main burners - so assuming it's 4 x 13,000 here. The question: Is the extra 1,000 BTU/burner a function of the burner or the gas manifold/valves?

    Hello from Northern CA

Hi, all. I've enjoyed grilling, BBQ-ing, & smoking food for a few decades now. I'm happy to see a forum that actually appears to have a little more love for the propane folks here, so thought I'd join in. My current cookers include a B-code 22", an N-code 22" with a Smoke-EZ extension, a...
