Originally from Kansas City, MO ( Go Chiefs!). Lived in California for 20+ years, Spent 5 years in Central TX hill country. Traded TX hills for Co Rocky Mtns.
I am a die hard kettle head. Smoking with post oak & pecan.
My first BBQ kettle was handed to me from my Dad, A 1980's 22.5 " Sears Kenmore branded Happy Cooker- {a damn near perfect knock-off of the Weber kettle) the reliable kettle has stood the test of time since 1980's and has smoked many a Thanksgiving Turkey. I have added a Weber performer, a Weber Q & I built a Mini WSM with my Smokey Joe. I enjoy grilling anything & everything. My family favorite is Japanese Yakitori -brick method. I make my own "tare" marinade, and experiment with different types of Japanese grilling.
