    Ooops I Did it Again

Sorry. Guess I misunderstood what you were trying to say. I’ve never had a problem with “flavor/texture or quality “. Give it a try once and see what you think.

    Ooops I Did it Again

I do it all the time and never had a problem. See below from the USDA If raw or cooked food is thawed in the refrigerator, it is safe to refreeze it without cooking or heating, although there may be a loss of quality due to the moisture lost through thawing. After cooking raw foods that were...

    Ooops I Did it Again

I usually just smoke the point anymore since it’s just my wife and I. I’ll buy full packers when they’re on sale and cut the flat off and grind it into burger. The flat makes great burger and we will vacuum seal it in 1 lb packages.

And again why I love these grills so much

Yep. Just bought one of these for my son at Albertson’s. They had a $200 off coupon to boot. So for $300 I figured it would be a good way for him to get his feet wet in the world of Pellet grilling.

    I give up!

We end up vacuum sealing what we don’t eat on the point (which for us isn’t much 😋) And vacuum seal the burger for later use.

    I give up!

Just a thought. Not sure it’s been mentioned. It’s just my wife and I and like you really don’t need a whole brisket. Lately we’ve been separating the point from the flat and grinding the flat into burger and smoking the point (we prefer the point). I buy my briskets on sale and pay less than $2...

    Q1200 Find

Bought this at REI today for $120. It was a return because it didn’t get hot. Took a chance and bought it. Looks like it was cooked on once and then returned. I hooked up a 1 lb propane bottle at it would get to 400 and no higher. I tried to register it but whoever originally bought it...

Recteq Launches A New Pellet Grill

I have the Smokin Brothers PP36 and actually like the hopper in the front. Granted the front shelf you get from the hopper lid is not that wide but is useful. I added the side shelves to give me more room yet. Even if you didn’t add the side shelves it gives you something to set things on...

    Weber pellets raised price.

My only question would be that a lot of brand made companies produce products for other companies but it’s to their specifications. Are Cabelas pellets made with the same components as Lumberjack or lesser for a price point 🤷‍♂️

    Adding vents to 22”wsm lid.

I’ve done it on my 18 as I wanted higher temps without having to prop the lid or door open. I added 2 more vents in the lid for a total of 3. Made a big difference. No more messing with the door or lid.

    SF Meat Board

Looks good. I’ve had good results with Lumberjack comp blend.
