Maverick E732 broken

So my Maverick e732 Thermometer plastic antenna casing is coming off. It looks like the lip on the bottom of it is broken so it won't stay in the hole tightly. I wrote into to Maverick asking about a replacement part. They came back and said it would be $26.00 shipped. That is a high amount for a piece of rubbery plastic. I have asked them if there is a warranty on this item but i bought it 12/12/2011 so i'm sure they will come back and say it is a 1 year warranty. Has anyone else had this problem? I know when it goes i will be looking for a new one since i am not willing to pay 26.00 on that when i can buy a new one with new probes for 60.00.

Maverick has a 90 day warranty. A drop of SuperGlue, or similar, spread thin with a toothpick will provide an inexpensive, permanent repair.
