Brined Turkey in a Cooler?

Inlaws are coming and I'm doing a butt Christmas Eve with all of the sides and a brined turkey for Christmas. I won't have the same amount of room I had with the Thanksgiving bird. Any idea on how long a brined turkey in a good cooler packed with ice will stay chilled until I need to add more ice?
Thanks!

Not really, but it will depend on the ambient conditions outside the cooler. The lower those temps, the longer till an ice addition is necessary.

Jeff,

If you can find it and have room in your cooler use block ice instead of bagged ice. It will last longer.

Brined my turkey in cooler for Christmas. Lined it with large garbage bag first then poured brine in. Only had to add ice once (outside the lined bag). Worked great, and didn't have to take up space in fridge!

Brined mine in a baking bag and put in a cooler full of ice. I have a real good cooler that keeps ice for 5 days but any cooler should do provided you don't live in the tropics.
