WSM new top cooking grate?

I want to get a new cooking grate for my 18.5" wsm. I really want to upgrade stainless steel or something better than the original top cooking grate. I have done a search and have not found anything. Does anybody have a part number to something better than the standard grate that comes with the wsm?

CI Grate for Weber

In this thread they comment on a CI grate for the kettle 22. They say that one for the 18 will be coming in July. I think it should fit the WSM.

there is a stainless 18" grate for large egg that might fit, I'll see if I can dig up the dimensions

BGE site say 18.25" top grate, ours being 17.5" with a little play I think it could fit

Did you give Weber CS a call? I got a SS grate for my 18" WSM a few months ago by ordering from Weber.
As for the new CI grate, unless you use your WSM for grilling, I wouldn't spend the money for that grate. Cast iron's appeal is its ability to produce 'killer grill marks', to heat evenly and to hold the heat over time. None of that really applies to cooking 'low and slow'.

Randy. I got both the upper and lower grates by going straight to Weber themselves.
