Combo post….
Doing St. Louis style ribs (from Butcher Box) for the game today…..temp is hovering around 24 degrees. So I don’t like the open bottom or nature of the lower grate for placing charcoal (I know, they have the flimsy charcoal baskets supplied-I actually have about three brand new sets from my performers that I never used sitting in my storage gasser) so I grabbed my old ‘kick ash‘ basket and it fits on the lower grate with out going above the top grate (except for the two handles that I will remove). Anyway just wanted to share with everyone for a solution for using lump (or charcoal) in a more durable container that keeps the lump together. When I cooked with lump I didn’t like it scattered in the bottom with no ‘form’. Anyway, just another idea for everyone!
Who Dey! Go Bengals!!!!
