Water Pan Cover

I had some 1/8" steel discs cut to fit in place of the waterpans on some of my cookers.

Here is an example of the ones that I'm using in place of the pizza pan diverter in the Cajun Bandit Stacker on my Performer

I like to use the large aluminum party trays as drip pans over this. I have used pizza pans as well.

I foil over the pizza pan and toss the foil after each cook

Hi all! Good ideas folks! I have used my smoker ( 18 inch wsm ) and have done what Jim does since the first time. Just line it with foil. It is in real good shape with no damage. Still shiny. Never been cleaned.

I would have bought those aluminum pans several years ago when I started using the terra cotta pot base. That has served me well you many cooks. The rare times I use the water pan with water I don't bother using foil because my pan is the deep design and it just needs rinsed off. I really don't see the need for the cover though.
