Vent question...

When following the vent settings on the recipes in the cooking section, is there a standard rule as to which vent is #1, #2 and #3? Are the vents numbered in relation to the door, top vent or does it even matter?

Steve,

Whichever vent I put the charcoal access door over is Vent #1, then moving around the cooker to the right you come upon Vent #2, then as you continue along your journey, Vent #3 comes into view.

#1 is always beneath the door. Works for me.

Steve and all,

It's important to remember that the vent settings shown in table format in the recipe articles are there to illustrate how my vent settings went during my cooking session. You should not expect to follow those settings during your cook.

Regards,
Chris
