Turkey Brine recipe advice

I've been lurking through recipes here and will continue. I have smoked many items but never a turkey. I have done tons of ribs, butt roasts, loins, hams, etc but mostly pork type stuff.

My mother asked if I'd try a turkey in my WSM for xmas day. It won't be a huge crowd, just 6 of us so we do not need a huge bird.

I think I'll need to (or should) brine the bird from some of my readings on the site.

Would some of you share any great brine recipes you prefer? I'm researching it now as well and looking for a couple of little things I could toss on the smoker as apps too.

Thanks,
chris

I like the apple brine recipe that's been posted previously:

2 quarts apple juice
1 lb brown sugar
1 cup Diamond kosher salt
3 quarts cold water
3 oranges, quartered
4 ounces fresh ginger, unpeeled and thinly sliced
15 whole cloves
6 bay leaves
6 large garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
