Summer dinner salad


 
Looks great Brett. You are like me, I like a little salad with my ground pepper.:)
I should have used a larger serving bowl; more flat and less vertical.

This had some Sonoma, CA EVOO and balsamic from Modena. I salted the tomatoes fist and let them sit a few minutes, then assembled this dish.

The meats, the salad (also added wild arugula), basil, bread and vino made for a great pairing. And yes, we love fresh cracked pepper, especially on caprese salad!

Heck, I could eat evoo, balsamic, with black pepper and some bread for dinner. It's that good.
 
Have you ever tried these? Very addictive.

that was my breakfast when we took the train from Rome Termini to Civitavecchia to catch our cruise. and then after our cruise, i lived on Iberico jamon on baguette in Barcelona.
