Store Bought Rubs

i like dizzy pig rubs and a few of the john henry rubs. i just picked up a bottle of the john henry pecan rub for 2 butts tonight.

I discovered Obie-Cue back in the late 80's wandering around a Texas mega fleamarket. The smoke from the free samples led me straight to them and have been a customer ever since.

I use their Big Bull Brisket Rub on brisket and Sweet Rub on ribs.

I'll second the Bone Suckin' rub, I picked some up last week and it is very good. I also really like the Plowboy's Yardbird and Bovine bold rubs (I think you can get them at Bass Pro shops now).

For general purpose stuff, I love the various Weber seasoning mixtures they have out there. The Garlic and Herb is a personal favorite. I just bought a couple of the Sucklebuster rubs and really enjoy those as well. They come in handy when I do not feel like making my own batch of rub.

I will add that I am big fan of the Texas BBQ Rubs. The Brisket Rub is similar in flavor to the Original Rub but the grind is coarser. It provides an excellent flavor on Brisket or Pork Butt. I just got a package of the Grand Champion but haven't tried it yet.

I like Obie-Q Gatorbreath but I add sugar to it at almost 1:1 ratio for chicken and pork.
