I picked up something called a "steak-roast" today. It is about 7 pounds. It was cheap, $2.50 CAD per pound. Has a good amount of fat/marbling in it.
It had a "potroast" label on it also. Hopefully it will cook like a chuck or blade roast on the WSM.

Anyone heard of this cut before?

I don't know Paul, it doesn't really look like a chuck, its not the usual shape I see and it is not tied either. I Google'd it as well and didn't find much.
We will see what it's like this weekend

Burt,

I think it's the same thing as a chuck roast.

Agreed.

Burtess, chuck roasts are not often tied. There really isn't a 'usual' shape, since there are numerous roasts on the chuck that are cut conventionally, and even more if one doesn't conventionally cut (and believe me, many 'butchers' don't cut conventionally).
