Smoked Lobster Tail????

We had some really good broiled Lobster Tails last night. It got me wondering if i could try this in a smoker? Has anyone tried this? If so what help can you give me?

Ditto.........lobster can be easily over cooked and like Scotty said it will ruin it. Just grill direct for a couple minutes per side depending on size.
 
We have done them on the kettle, with some smokewood. It is sort of like doing grilled shrimp just a little larger scale. As the lobster comes off the kettle it gets dunked in a bowl of melted butter and is ready to eat.
 
MD,

I would grill them with some smoke wood on the grill (gasser or coals). You only want a hint of the smoke on the lobster anyway and you can get that quickly on the grill.
