Reba McEntire's Best Yogurt Chicken

1 cup low fat plain yogurt
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. curry powder
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 to 2 garlic cloves, minced
4 large boneless skinless chicken breast halves

1. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients except chicken; mix well. Score top of chicken by making shallow cuts, about 1/8 to 1/4" deep. Place chicken in zipper topped plastic bag; add yogurt mixture. Turn or gently shake bag until chicken is coated. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes.
2. Spray broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken on pan; brush with yogurt mixture. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 6 to 8 minutes. Turn chicken; brush with mixture. Broil an additional 7 to 9 minutes or until chicken is fork tender and juices run clear. Discard any remaining yogurt mixture. Serves 4 - 150 calories per serving

Yogurt is used as a base for sauces and gravies in many parts of the world, particularly the Middle East. It imparts a tanginess. Doesn't seem to be used too much in the US really for some reason. But it's not that much different from say the sour cream that's added to stroganoff.
