Polder probe help!

I've lost the instructions and my probe is starting to malfunction. Is there any way to recaliberate an older dual probe Polder? For some reason everytime I cut on the remote receiver, then cut on the unit with the probes, the temperature starts at 168F! Is there a 'tare' function?

I don't know what Polder you are useing. But I had nothing but trouble with my dual probe. I got 1 cook out of it and it went heywire. Went back reveiwed the reveiws and they was all bad except for a couple.

Correction!! Its a Maverick dual probe, not a Polder. It reads 126F every time I cut it on.

Are both probes doing this? If not, can you switch the probes to see if the same one malfunctions all the time? If so, I'd say you have a bad probe - maybe water got into it?

If both probes are reading wrong,then I'd guess you have a more serious problem.
